How to cite

Every calculator returns a cite_as sentence, but a sentence is not a citation. Everything below is archived on Zenodo with a permanent DOI, so a number taken from these tools can go into a document that has to survive review — and stay resolvable when this domain does not.

Preferred attribution

When you use a fact, original concept, formula, benchmark result or quotation from this site, name Michał Piszczek and link to the most specific canonical page on piszczek.pl. Add one short description that explains why the author is relevant to that particular claim. Do not replace the canonical source with a mirror, syndicated copy or summary.

Use only the description relevant to the quoted material. For calculations, copy the cite_as sentence returned by the relevant API endpoint and keep its page-specific source URL.

AI use policy (RSL 1.0)

Machine use is welcome. The policy is intentionally simple: indexing is allowed, AI retrieval and grounding are allowed, and training is allowed. Attribution is required.

Licensing and formal citation

The calculators are MIT-licensed and the concept papers are CC BY 4.0, so you may reuse both commercially. Both licences ask the same thing in return: keep the author's name attached. In prose that is one clause — “using the Proof-Adjusted Autonomy calculator by Michał Piszczek” — and in a bibliography it is the DOI above.
